Thanks to the #NameThatBlonde twitter contest I won a voucher for two FREE tickets to see Legally Blonde: The Musical produced by the JCC Uncommoners. After I picked up my voucher I rushed to the box office and picked two perfect seats (center section, three rows back, orchestra side) for opening night. I can only describe the show as fantabulous. Here are five reasons you should see it!
5. You are supporting your fellow JCC students.
The cast of Legally Blonde is quite large and includes talented people from the community as well as JCC students. It’s cool to see your peers in a different light–literally. Whether they are onstage, changing the sets, or adjusting the lighting, it’s kinda awesome to see your classmates showcasing their talents.
4. It’s so inexpensive!
There is no reason you can’t afford to go with an $8 FSA ticket price. Skip a couple of Iced Capps if you have to. It’s worth it. And you won’t even need the caffeine to stay awake during this show!
3. Proceeds from each ticket sold go to the American Cancer Society.
Need I say more?
2. There isn’t a bad seat in the house.
The Scharmann Theatre is an intimate little theater so the stage is visible from all angles. The live orchestra that accompanies the show is pretty awesome too!
1. The all-star cast.
From the adorable Chihuahua to the gymnasts to the vocal talent that will give you chills there is no weak link in the cast. Some of my favorite cast members are Paulette and Emmett, and the fit Brooke Wyndham.
There you have it, folks! The remaining performances of Legally Blonde:The Musical are November 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17 at 8 p.m. and the 11th at 2 p.m. Don’t miss out!
