Manufacturing, especially steel manufacturing, has a long and proud history in Western New York. In more ways than one, it’s what this area was built on. That history continues to today, with many steel manufacturers continuing to do the work that they’ve done for decades, but with 21st century technology.
This weeks’ featured internship is with Dunkirk Specialty Steel. They’re looking for a student interested in manufacturing and digital computer technology to fill a paid internship position. The position pays $11 an hour, and they would like the student to be able to work 40 hours a week. The job responsibilities will primarily involve measuring metrics and recording machine capabilities. Anyone interested in applying for this internship can contact the Office of Experiential Learning by calling 716.338.1381 or using this contact form.
