Hello, again. The fall semester is almost here and my time at Jamestown Community College is almost at an end. All I have to say is thank you to all my friends, mentors, and teachers for the wonderful two years at this swell place I’ve come to consider a home away from home.
Officially my internship is over, but there is still one thing left to do before I go. This Monday, August 18, I will be presenting my report on Zombie Titles to the City Council’s Housing Committee.
As the end draws near I’m reminded of all the great people I’ve meet these past two years. I would just like to stop and thank a few for making my experience the best it could ever be.
First off thank you Dr. Gregory Rabb for being my mentor. From our trip to Buffalo to see a few museums, to the ICONS project that saw me as Kim Jong Un, to the European Union Simulation were I played Donald Tusk, the Prime Minister of Poland, and later Herman Van Rompuy, the President of the European Council, and finally to me being the City Council Intern. I want to thank you for every opportunity you have given me.
Next would be Kim Irland. Thank you for advising me during my time as a Student Senator, Campus Activity Board member, member of the Student Affairs Committee, and IN several other groups. You helped make me more active at college.
Also, thanks to my two friends Jeany Melendez and Rey Muniz for being willing to embrace my insanity with open arms. I couldn’t have asked for any greater friends than these two.
There were others that deserve praise for all they did for me but we would be here all week, but thank you to everyone else.
To those who will be coming back to JCC, remember: College is what you make of it. Make it a great time, but also remember this is just a starting point; the world is waiting for you. Now let’s give them a good show.
Goodbye, JCC! It’s been a blast!
