Back Home Again

It was a long trip home from Scotland, but I’m officially back in Jamestown. It was a lot of work and preparing to make this semester abroad in Scotland possible, but I don’t regret any of it. It was worth every ounce of effort to make this dream possible.

I’ve always dreamed of going to Scotland, but I felt for a long time that it was nothing more than a dream. It seemed like something others could accomplish, but not someone like me. Well, I’d like to be living proof to others, that if you have a dream, it’s not impossible to accomplish them as long as you set your mind to it and work hard. Most importantly of all, never give up on your goals.

I’d like to thank Dr. Greg Rabb, and Nelson J. Garifi for helping make my dream possible.

I’d also like to thank Stephanie Zwyghuizen, Yu Kanazawa and Debra Eck for their support!

And finally, I would like to thank Jamestown Community College for this wonderful opportunity!

Seth Snyder

I’m currently majoring in Fine Arts-Studio Arts and upon completion I plan to transfer to Edinboro University, where I will start working toward my bachelor’s degree in Film and Animation. I have a strong interest in drawing, cartooning, and animation. I will be studying abroad in the spring semester at the University of Dundee in Dundee, Scotland. It has been a life long dream of mine to travel to Scotland. It’s a dream which I never thought would come to fruition, but with hard work along with winning the Gilman Scholarship it has become a reality.
